Use the contact form at the bottom of this page. Mola is built by a single developer as a side project. I do my best to respond to all messages, but please be patient — I aim to reply within 48 hours for critical issues (billing, lost access, crashes) and within a few days for other questions.

For feature requests and general feedback, I appreciate it but can't promise a personal reply. Everything gets noted for future updates.

Frequently asked questions

What printers does Mola work with?

Any printer that can print A4 paper. Thermal transfer printers (Brother, Fuji, and others), home inkjet printers, laser printers — all work. Mola generates a standard PDF you can print from any device.

Do I need a special tattoo printer?

No. That's the whole point of Mola. If your printer can print A4 paper, Mola works with it.

Does Mola work with Procreate exports?

Yes. Export as JPG from Procreate and open in Mola. Mola will automatically read the DPI and size settings.

Do I need an internet connection?

The web version needs internet to load the first time — after that it works offline in your browser. The Mola app (out now on iOS, Android coming soon) runs entirely on your device, so once installed it doesn't need an internet connection at all.

Does Mola upload my images anywhere?

No. All processing happens in your browser or on your device. Your designs never leave your control. See our privacy policy for details.

What's the difference between the web version and the mobile apps?

The web version is a free preview: upload your design, crop it, adjust the dimensions, and see exactly how it tiles across pages. The print-ready tiled PDF export is exclusive to the Mola app, out now on iOS (Android coming soon).

Why does the free preview look wavy or distorted?

The waves are added on purpose — it's not a bug, and it's not what the app makes. The free preview lets you check that your design fits and tiles the right way: real size, page count, crop marks, pages that line up. But the lines are made wavy so the preview can't be used as an actual stencil. The Mola app exports the same pages clean, with no waves, at the exact size you set.

I bought Mola on iPhone but want it on my iPad — do I need to buy again?

No. Apple accounts sync purchases across all your Apple devices. If you bought Mola on iPhone with your Apple ID, it's automatically available on any iPad using the same Apple ID. Same for Android devices on the same Google account.

Can I use Mola for small designs, or just big ones?

Mola's main value is for designs too large to fit on a single A4 page. For designs smaller than A4, you can crop your image and export it as a PNG or JPG at your chosen size for the time being — more features for small designs are planned.

My design printed smaller (or larger) than the size I entered

The width and height you enter apply to the whole image, including any blank space around the design. If your export has white space above or below the artwork — common with Procreate exports — that space counts toward the size, so the design itself comes out smaller. Crop the white space away with Mola's crop tool (or export your design without margins from your drawing app) before setting the size.

The tiled PDF doesn't match my design's actual size — what should I do?

Check your printer settings. If your printer is set to "Fit to Page" or "Scale to Fit," it will resize the tiles and break the math. Always print at 100% (also called "Actual Size") for correct dimensions.

My crop marks don't line up when I tape the pages together

This is usually a printer scaling issue. Make sure your printer is set to print at 100% (actual size), not "Fit to Page." Also check that your printer's margins aren't cutting off the crop marks — most A4 printers have a small unprintable border, which Mola accounts for with a 15mm margin.
